Yuvi played a totally irresponsible shot..It was not required...
Robin Utthapa hasnt had much experience and there is a risk of loosing another wicket.

The Aussies, with their catching and individual batsmen not really willing to knuckle down and build big scores on slow pitches, seem very distracted in this Series,
Neither Ponting nor Symonds have looked anything like their normal selves since the post-Adelaide appeal hearing. They seem particularly distracted, and I don't think Ponting's back injury is helping him at all either. He should have a rest I reckon. I know it's difficult when you're skipper and it's your home series, but without being disrespectfdul, whoi gives a toss about another meaningless ODI series? The man's got 4 or more years (hopefully) of quality test cricket ahead of him, and a hectic test schedule this year (hopefully). Not worth his health for this ODI caper imo.

Yeah the whole IPL and Monkey business seems to have taken its toll on the team's focus i guess, but they are professionals and they need to overcome such stuff soon.
Congrats for the 4000!
OMG I didn't realise.

Not sure if 4000 posts on a site is a good thing or not...

Ponting taking a rest would make a lot of sense, no point in aggrovating your injury by keep on playing in the leauge games, only to find himself unfit to play in important games such as the finals or missing out on the tour of Pakistan (if that takes place), it would also give Gilly a chance to lead the side, which would be a nice parting gift for him.

Might get dropped before he has a chance of resting...

Given how strong the Australian batting line-up is usually, Hopes is the perfect player.
DWTA. A seventh batsman who can bowl a bit (more of a batting all rounder than Hopes is) would be far more useful than Hopes. Even the best sides have their bad batting days like Australia v Lanka and today, Gilchrist is on his way out. An added batsman adds strength to the team.

Gilly is being replaced by Haddin, who is gun batsman too and i am not sure how you can say Hopes is any lesser than any other genuine batsman in the domestic competition, he is among the heavy scorers in the OD circuit and his bowling is also more than handy so that makes him a very handy Odi player for Australia, btw first you were Australia should drop Hopes and pick an extra bowler, now you are saying they should pick an extra batsman, what's up with that mate.

Dhoni gone, yessssssssss................ that's a huge wicket, having a runner can always lead to run-outs and that's what exactly happened there on this ocassion.
