To be fair - it was a fairly safe shot and would've been four if it weren't for Symonds taking a freak catch.Shame on you Silva. Always annoys the hell out of me when a batsman is batting like gold and the other batsman makes no attempt to stick it out there in the middle. Why the **** was he playing all his flashy strokes? Nonsense.
Great effort but not a great catch apparently. Star Sports replays show that it was grounded. [Not that Silva would last much longer the way he was playing]Good lord, what a catch by Symonds.
Not what I saw. His hand hit the ground but it looked pretty clean to me.Great effort but not a great catch apparently. Star Sports replays show that it was grounded. [Not that Silva would last much longer the way he was playing]
The entire inning and not specifically the ball he was out to is the reason for my annoyance. He didn't need to play aggressively like he did on the ball he was out too so early in his inning given he was missing balls, Sangakarra was batting so well and a lot of overs remain in the game.To be fair - it was a fairly safe shot and would've been four if it weren't for Symonds taking a freak catch.
Not sure you have been shown the angle Star Sports are showing. C9 and Star have different broadcasts. Whatever, it isn't important to me in the context of the game as Silva would have been out sooner or later the way he was playing. Not what I saw. It was certainly grounded from the star sports cameras and symonds himself looked slightly suspect before claiming it.Not sure you have been shown the angle Star Sports are showing. its C9 Camera's..but i think they wont show that angle hi hi hiIt was certainly grounded from the star sports cameras and symonds himself looked slightly suspect before claiming it.
Wasim akram said that daryl harper was doing disservice to the game by not reffering it to the third umpire.
cant see how you can deduce that conclusively from the angle shown on channel 9. When i saw the first replay i immediately thought it was grounded and was extremely surprised that no one in the commentary box mentioned a thing about it. unfortunately they did not show the catch from another angle on channel 9, at least not one close enough for you to be able to tell. Should have definetly been referred, even Silva wasnt certain about that one.Not what I saw. His hand hit the ground but it looked pretty clean to me.
Not sure what your gripe is with Silva, played about 2 attacking shots in 10 balls, one of which was absolutely creamed(and took a miraculous effort from symonds to even come close to that) and deservedly so given the quality of the delivery. Not sure you have been shown the angle Star Sports are showing. Didn't need to play the way he was doing where I am concerned. Not sure what your gripe is with Silva, played about 2 attacking shots in 10 balls, one of which was absolutely creamed(and took a miraculous effort from symonds to even come close to that) and deservedly so given the quality of the delivery.
grow up.Pity that the Australians have to cheat in order to win matches these days.
dont wory C9 wont show itJust showed another replay from the 9 angle and it does appear that Symonds had his fingers under the ball when his hand hit the ground (which is legal) and didn't turn his hand and use the ball to prop himself up, grounding it in the process (which would not be legal). Still no problem with the catch.
