watching indian batsmen bar Virat and MS has just become such a farce most of the time I can't help but be grateful that I won't see them play for another two weeks.

MS? Was pathetic in the tests.

Gambhir got out by being outclassed, but not being a dick. Had a good ODI series as well.

Kohli and Gambhir were the gutsiest this tour, and no surprise why they are the potential captains of the future.

True, but for most people that doesn't outweigh the rest.

It's mostly the "don't give a ****" vibe near the end of Test series which grates the most.
I don't mind people hating the BCCI, or India's stance on UDRS, or even specific Indian players. But they showed excellent sportsmanship in those two incidents, which is more important than most other things in cricket.

In fact, many Indian supporters (including myself) wanted Bell and Thirimanne not to be called back. Especially when the reaction from Jayawardene and the Lankan team is to actually criticise India for even appealing, which is ridiculous.

Maybe if the indian team invested in a brass metal band they'd be liked more. One of the best things about going to a cricket game in Sri Lanka is that band.

Well played SL. Deserve to go to the finals.

Also lol @ people who think because India didn't make the final we will make some hard decisions and whatnot. Truth is the BCCI and the selectors will have made the same decisions had we entered and won the final as they will after not making the final.

They haven't exactly conducted themselves in a fashion that will endear them to others over the last year or so.
This is such load of bull****, and coming from you it's quite surprising! No one was supporting india in the world cup an year ago. And let's not even talk about conduct.

Nah, truth is, people haven't been supporting India because they've recently begun turning into the America of cricket. Nearly everything in cricket news seems to be Indian dominated, every cricket video on youtube has some Indian knob commentating on it, then the whole Sachin-mania. This by itself wasn't too bad, but then you combine that with the fact that they somehow became no 1 in tests despite having a non-existent bowling attack. Add the IPL, which to many is kinda anti-cricket, and then that period for about a year having to listen to Shastri and Gavaskar commentating during every Indian game. So, to a lot of people, their cricket has been unlikeable.

Thats the truth dude. Its not racism or anything like that. People don't hate Indians. But recently they do dislike Indian cricket. And its fun to root against them.

Don't worry, things will probably change soon enough. Shastri and Gavaskar seem slightly more humble than before, which to me makes it 10x easier to support your team.
