Ponting said the other day that the CB series loss was just the kick on the backside that the aussies needed to get back on track. But IMO if they keep on getting such kicks on the backsides, like they are getting today don't you guys think there backsides would end up being sore and red like a baboon.

NZ commentators rubbing it in here, fair enough, they had to suffer with the Channel Nine dropkicks over the summer.

Just announced on the tellie!!
Fracture to the tip of the ring finger!
From quick googling, could take 2-4wks to recover from a broken finger.

But they didnt really go into indepth detail

Shocking fielding there from Aussie. And WOT A SHOT, from Vincent to add salt to the wound
I'd think he'd miss the first few matches and should be right for the Super 8s at the latest.

Especially if they get swept! Although I wouldnt count on that happening. Heck, the series is still alive. Heck, NZ can still be swept

Hopefully. And not just for NZ supporters, but for cricket supporters. Be a shame not to have Oram there, with the form and pure power he has displayed of late

Super 8's start on March 27 which is nearly 6 weeks away so hopefully he'll be right by then

I think having lee or tait( a quicker bowler) would have helped us a bit, as bond was the only bowler from the Kiwi side who looked really lethal. Though got to say we still wouldn't have won with such a batting display but atleast they would have done some damage(atleast a face saving performance).

*Fleming sticks a middle finger firmly in front of Adam Parore's face*
(wonder where Adam's hiding at the moment?)
Great knocks from both these 2.
Next point of interest: Can we make it the 1st time Aus have lost by 10 wickets in an ODI?

Come on aussies atleast pick up a single wicket even a run-out would do at this stage.

Pretty dismal day out for Australia. It'll be interesting to see how we come back from this one, as it'll go down as the most one sided loss since that game where Ntini skittled us in South Africa last year.

Australia's ODI team has always managed to win the big games and big moments, and while this series isn't especially important, there'll be plenty of motivation after this loss.

Gotta say, aside from the obvious problems with the fielding and batting, I'm pretty disappointed again with Hussey's captaincy. I thought he was pretty unimaginative when he captained in Malaysia last year in that game where he made a century, and he ran out of ideas pretty quickly this time too. Probably not much he could have done, mind.
