Geez Morris is erratic for someone of fast but not exceptional pace. I will continue to maintain his runup needs work until someone actually sorts it out.

Also looks like they're claiming his fastest was 147.9, even though I saw 148.4 earlier.

So basically 100 required off the back ten with 6 wickets in hand. These two basically need to bat out the next 7 overs or so and take 60 off the total.

Finn Watch: 10 runs 12 balls 4 outs.

As I said in the Black Cap thread, he's in a massive hole of his own making. Became a non-contracted hired hack without any foundation to his game, and now where does he go?
He will keep getting franchise gigs despite once in a blue moon returns.

To the bank. Also was referring to him chucking down the stumps from a distance which was his first contribution to the team this season.
He's in a hole alright, but who knows it's a funny game and maybe one good knock could change his fortunes around somewhat.

Maybe in Connecticut, Doha and so on...but the IPL didn't want him, the Bash won't if he can't average 5, then he's the sporting equivalent of Jimmy Barnes spending his summer playing coastal pubs with a max venue allowance of 300 patrons

See I hear this last part, and I get it...but he's in a bigger funk than that. He has significant technical flaws that when exposed to decent sized boundaries, quick enough pitches and quality bowling, can't readily be overcome by 'hey I hit one out the middle, I'm away'. That can work for a 34-year old Gup with a mountain of runs and know how behind him, but not likely Finn.

Here's my prediction: He'll mature around 27-28 and realise what he's chased for the last few seasons has no real depth to it, and his game has floundered amongst it. He'll try to come back through the contract system and make a good career of it, and succeed at around 30 (especially if Gary Stead is still coach and sees immense benefit in him past that birthday)

I wonder sometimes if Martin Crowe might have been able to help Allen develop a more robust approach. He was apparently mentoring him when he was a teenager and might have been able to work with him the way he did with Taylor and Guptill.

He might have been able to bosh a forward defence with good head position.
