jordan has a rare trait for an englishman (likability) and so it’s no surprise he does well in the bash
A good pro, but at 36 he's a few years past it. The better England players this year do seem to have chosen SA comp. Probably more money given the Indian links.

There was a much stronger English contingent last year when it didn't clash with an Indian Tour.

There are plenty of mediocre English county players who have done well in the Bash. Equally there are some future internationals who have been rubbish. For example, Ian ****bain has a better BBL record than Harry Brook.

I'll be honest though - I genuinely don't care if random English county players do well. I'm never going to go to a game going "geez, I'm looking forward to seeing George Garton tonight" or "who could forget about Tom Alsop this evening?". It means nothing to me if they do competently and I'd honestly just rather give promising local kids a go instead.

Andrews has gotten them up to a total that isn't an embarrassment, but that probably indicates there's more runs out there than the Thunder's batting let on.
