***Official*** Bangladesh in Zimbabwe

Broad missed his length six times and was duly punished. It was a terrible over from a guy who shouldn't have been playing international cricket at the time.
His length wasn't that bad, nor was his line. Certainly not a great over but hardly the worst T20I has ever seen.

Athlai's the last person to under-estimate Bangladesh TBH; I find the gang-warfare attacks on him a little odd here. I actually agree with everything he's said. A very fine knock from Coventry indeed - one of the best ever - but not circumstances particularly befitting of a record as such. I don't suppose we'll ever actually get a record without such circumstances anyway as you need a hell of a lot if your favour to score 200 in an ODI.
Well I think the road part is necessary and it'd have to be against an attack with a few holes in it. Still possible though.

194* does speak volumes, regardless of who it's against.

Hoping that Bangladesh show a bit more spine than in the last game though. Keen for a good chase.

The record should have been broken on numerous occasions in the past few years. Gibbs would have waltzed to 250+ against Australia if he stayed and the example of Jaya against the Dutch, is an apt illustration that it is possible but not many batsman can physically get over that barrier. And the wicket at Jo'Burg or the attack the Dutch had don't compare to this.

No variation, no changes of pace and filthy fourth ball chucked in for good measure. Bog standard terrible over, especially to a guy who favours the onside heave. Fourth ball pie aside, everything was in the slot...

YouTube - yuvraj singh vs stuart broad
Little too full with the first ball but giving Yuvraj no width, though Yuvraj takes a step to the side and makes room.
2nd ball was a pie.
3rd ball not much better.
4th ball - meh
5th ball quite good IMO best six of the lot.
6th ball little off yorker length.

As I said by no means the worst over ever nor a good one.

The record deserves to be broken by whoever plays well enough to break it. If Coventry had made those last 6 runs, then he'd be a deserving record holder.
Yeah, I agree.

Extremely unexpected, but full credit to him.

No matter what - Coventry tops the list now.....

Its the heat guys - India vs Pakistan was as good as Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh!

If this 194* was scored by some well known player then we wouldnt have noticed it but they are similar teams - almost!

So yeah - well done Coventry!

I am glad Anwar's record stayed though...

Awesome Tamim the 3rd highest run scorer for players 20 and under in ODI history. Should probably overtake Sachin if he has a good run for the rest of the year. The List

Afridi's age being dubious kind of makes his position at the top a little less impressive.

Too many wides from Zim here. 50 up for Tamim WAG.

Best Bangladeshi batsman everyone?
Would have to be between:
Tamim
Nafees
Ashraful
Raqibul

Looks like Zimbabwe's ill-discipline with the ball will cost them. Far too many extras.

Great chance for Iqbal to break some Bangladeshi records and if he is there come the end, who knows what he will have. Like Coventry, Iqbal has scored over 50% of his sides runs.
