How does it?It matters.
As NZ Guy said, it would be like losing your virginity to a prostitute. This record deserves to be broken by a better batsman than Coventry. How does it?
Then y did that much better batsmen couldn't break the record which Coventry could? As NZ Guy said, it would be like losing your virginity to a prostitute. This record deserves to be broken by a better batsman than Coventry.
Looks like his own teammate denied him the chance to score 200. Thats Zimbabwe cricket for you.
Haha that would be awesomeequalled! not happy im off to bed, hope I wake up to see Tamim Iqbal with the record
They weren't given the same circumstances in playing against this Bangladeshi team on this particular pitch. Then y didn't that much better batsmen couldn't break the record which Coventry could?
The record deserves to be broken by whoever plays well enough to break it. If Coventry had made those last 6 runs, then he'd be a deserving record holder. This record deserves to be broken by a better batsman than Coventry.
Ya u mean to say no top batsman got an oppertunity all these years on a pitch like this against any of the minnows? Come on dude accept it! Even if the batsman if from Zim, Ban, Ire, Ken etc... When its a official match, then a record is a record. They weren't given the same circumstances in playing against this Bangladeshi team on this particular pitch.
Agreed. What a performance. The record deserves to be broken by whoever plays well enough to break it. If Coventry had made those last 6 runs, then he'd be a deserving record holder.
I disagree with this, too much played into his favor for a knock like this. The record deserves to be broken by whoever plays well enough to break it. If Coventry had made those last 6 runs, then he'd be a deserving record holder.
I'm saying while it hasn't happened and I'll admit that it is faaaaaar more likely to happen in a match with a flat pitch against bad opposition.Ya u mean to say no top batsman got an oppertunity all these years on a pitch like this against any of the minnows? Come on dude accept it! Even if the batsman if from Zim, Ban, Ire, Ken etc... When its a official match, then a record is a record.
Ha ha ha thats pure foolishness. Then every record is to be blamed.I disagree with this, too much played into his favor for a knock like this.
-the batting conditions
-the opposing bowlers
-his own teammates poor batting
If Jayasuriya or Anwar or Tendulkar or Lara or anyone else were given this scenario then I'd say the same result could come out. While in a game with tougher conditions, bowlers and better teammates it would be as unattainable as it has proven to be.
Yeah, for me that's the biggest thing. 194 runs out of a team total of 300 is phenomenal, regardless of who the opposition was.The second highest score was 37 and he scored over 60% of his sides runs. Come on.
