A strong first-innings batting display took the tourists to 276-4 at the close on day one, but Shahzada's pace triggered a collapse of five wickets for 10 runs. In reply, Javed Omar and Jahurul Islam put on an opening stand of 111 for Bangladesh A, with the former going on to be ninth out for 173. Zimbabwe's batting clicked on the final two days, and Sean Williams continued to impress with an unbeaten 85, his fifth half-century of the tour.
