Yeah, was gonna post that before. Rogers (with a second innings still to come maybe) has made nearly 1000 before Christmas, an amazing effort. Somehow, I don't think he'll get the test opener spot over Jaques when Langer retires after the Ashes.SirBloody Idiot said:

To be honest, I'd rather Langer play on than Hayden, and I get the feeling JL may have to be forced out rather than go out on his own.

With Watson injuried and Hopes fairly ineffective at ODI level, what do you think are the chances of Klinger geting a call up the ODI squad as a specialist opener. His in better form then Jaques, Hayden and Crosgrove and his young, so a good prospect for the future.

Who would be dropped though? Last time Victoria batted they got something like 5 or 6 down for close to 600. Both openers are in good touch and Hodge/Hussey/White/McDonald are all in good form. The only one you could say he could be dropped for is Hussey, but he scored a ton in the last game.mikeW said:

Went to the game yesterday. Have NSW ever put out such a mediocre team? Far out! Where was Haddin? Phil Jaques' shot was so crap. Why was he doing that in the 1st over? Shocking.
Katich's knock was so cringeworthy. Was not timing anything at all, and I was so shocked when he actually made his 50 because I didn't notice.

The balance of the side will be better IMO, this five bowler crap not working at all. We are really missing Mosies and his only played a couple games.brockley said:
