No club will take blewiitt except for maybe in a coaching capacity,i' d say states would be interested more in players like scott meaulman i know NSW was.
His best hope is to go and play over in south africa or NZ.

Clubs would certainly be interested, but obviously none could really afford the coin to lure him interstate unless there was a state contract associated with it. The assistant coach style of role would be the best way to do it, but Blewett strikes me as more from the Martyn/Bevan school rather than the Boof Lehmann type.

If i was the redbacks blewitt would be my last worry,i would be more worried who they are going to pick for the next game, their batsmen are all defeated.

Cullen's spot in the South Australian Pura Cup side should also be under scrutiny. He has 4 wickets @ 87.5 from with an economy of 4.05 for the season and 87 @ 42.49 with an ecomony 3.25 for his career.
Well has Richard last year after Cullen's superb debut season, he may suffer from second season drop and he has to date. Really hope that 1st season doesn't turn into a fluke, since Australia need one of him, Hauritz, Bailey so step in the coming years with Hollywood's time in the spotlight nearing a close.

MacGill hit an insane fifty for NSW. His bowling continues to be rubbish, and they better not select him at Melbourne and Sydney.

haha i couldn't believe it when i saw it, shame he hasn't been taking wickets though - they wont pick him either, not with Clark in form. Symonds has been bowling handily too.

:( Jaques.... was expecting it to happen, piles on the runs continously, then his bad run starts right near the end of Haydos and Langers careers. I really hope he finds some form in the back end of the season, he's the gunningest player when he's on song.

Whilst he didn't take many wickets against SA, Johnson has continued to impress, all the reports i've read, seen, heard have been nothing but good for him. If Lee doesn't pick his act up in the final two tests, (i really hope he does though) Johnson will be snapping on his heels in no time at all.

One must wonder how close James Hopes could be to test selection? He's been far better than Symonds with both Bat & Ball in the past 2 seasons for QLD. He played a fantastic match for QLD against SA. If the selectors are going to continue to look for an all-rounder and overlook Hodge, Cosgrove & Birt (which is a mistake to overlook them imo) Hopes has to be equal to Voges. He's a severly underrated player.

Also, he must surely be 1 of the Front Runners for a WC spot.

There's a big campaign for him to be included in the team, and indeed, if he can back up his 94 from a while back, it would be good to have him in the team.

MacGill does need to pick up his game, I agree.

Why not choose Andrew Mcdonald then? hes a superior batsmen to Hopes and just as handy with the ball not too mention hes 4 years younger.

On the domestic front at present, the gun leather-flingers who will play Tests for Australia are Johnson and Hilfenhaus.

Victoria's win over N.S.W. was the first outright victory by a home team in the Pura Cup this season. Simply astonishing!!! :-O

Weird season with teams going up and down all the time...don't understand how QLD is on top in both forms !

NSW now have their own problems 4 losses in the one day cricket, and all teams apart from WA and SA have caught up with NSW.
Things will get harder no calrk and no brakken, and no macgill for the 5th and 4th test maybe.
We will defintely have to look at the batting and bowling.
Cowan failed again, wickie smith made no impression with the bat, jaques and thornley have lost form, and our bowlers ain't taking wickets.
Time too bring in some youth and maybe salvage something for the season.
Note packman got a 100 on the weekend.

Yeah considering as a team they have only scored one century inthe Pura Cup. Just shows that bowlers win matches.
