From what they've said on the radio he's bowling seamers.Josh said:Is Symonds bowling seamers or spinners??
No. Hopefully not.FaaipDeOiad said:Hopefully Martyn and Gilchrist can get some time in the middle as well.
I can't understand how someone could rather their state won a Pura Cup match than see international regulars play themselves into good form. I support NSW in the sense that I live here and I'd rather they won than lost, but I'd much rather see Watson and Johnson do well against NSW than have Greg Mail win the match for us.Mister Wright said:No. Hopefully not.
What? You can't be serious!FaaipDeOiad said:I can't understand how someone could rather their state won a Pura Cup match than see international regulars play themselves into good form. Yeah, I really don't care about that sort of thing. I like to see young players who have the potential to perform for Australia do well, or players I enjoy watching. Guys like Tait, Henriques, Johnson, Hilfenhaus, Paine and Birt interest me at the moment, and I follow their progress pretty keenly in domestic matches. As far as NSW goes, I'll support them if I'm watching a game, but I really don't care if they win or come last, provided that they have some worthwhile players who are performing along the way.Mister Wright said:What? I guess it makes sense considering you didn't grow up watching your state get pounded day in day out. I'm more passionate about my state winning than my country.
QLD have no points for their Pura Cup season thus far. An outright here, particularly against a full strength W.A. it will be a big boost to our season. A wicket here will see Qld into W.A. lower order with less than 200 on the board, it will set the match up for us perfectly.
It's not that I don't want to see the young players do well (except for the over-rated ones, with poor records), it's just I don't want to see them do well against QLD. Anyway, Martyn and Gilchrist are by far young up-and-comers.FaaipDeOiad said:Yeah, I really don't care about that sort of thing. Impressive; has also bowled up to 139 ks, looked good with the bat. Good find.mikeW said:Mckay looks a very good prospect imo.
