International Coach
Out of the Queensland players who don't play for Australia. Who is realistically a captaincy option?

I know Hopes and Watson have captained various side but they play too much for Australia. Hartley was groomed as the next captain until he had a shocking run of form and he spot was under threat. He is starting to bat better know. Is it time to give him the captaincy in FC atleast?
Ashley Noffke or Lee Carseldine would be good options imo.

Symonds getting picked for South Africa with just 8 runs to shown in comeback FC game would be pretty attrocious, but i guess it was not a problem before and so it won't be a problem now either.

Carseldine would be good option for mine, but at 33. You might as well hand it back to Love.

Noffke would be a case of a great player doesn't make a great captain. If he has captaincy potential would have probably got a run as the most senior non Australian player once Maher went. Who is the vc of the side btw?

Hauritz 3 v Krezja 1 v McGain 0 :)
There's probably just as much competition amongst the quicks trying to make up the final spot too!

Mitch Johnson is a lock
You'd assume Hilfenhaus is going
If Siddle is fit, then he's definitely in (but let's assume he's not!)

That would leave 2 spots vacant

Bollinger has one foot on the plane - and is bowling well in Newcastle.
Dorey and Ryan Harris lead the season's wicket tally - while Noffke has been "just about" in the team for years.

Redbacks

International Captain
Manou 116* taking us to within 64 of the Vics score 7/336 currently:)

Gutted Ferguson didn't get to triple figures getting ct on 81

Re: Simpson I actually think he's a fairly decent captain and I like the bloke on the interviews I've seen on Fox Sports.

I just want to see him perform better.

Hartley is definitely Vice Captain, guessing they don't want a keeper as captain.

McDonald has taken 5/68 from 25 overs.

I think he's certainly done enough to be selected in the squad to South Africa.

I think McDonald is a terrific number 7 option in the Test Side. Just not sure if the selectors will want Haddin in at 6.

Have been quite impressed with his captaincy and what his been getting out his inexperienced bowling attack. He good enough as bowler to keep his spot in ODs and T20. But he done nothing in FC with bat or bowl and you can't carry a captain. FTR as pure captain I reckon he up there with the best in Australia.

Fell just short of his quarter century today!!! Would have been a significant achievement for the guy

How about Dorey's timing?

Tsotsobe and Morkel gave us some problems with their height and steepling bounce on the tour, and the 203cm Dorey captures 6 and 5 to bundle out Qld and jump to the top of the wicket taking ladder!

Be great to see the reply from Ryan Harris in the second dig.
