Sounds like Nannes is bowling an exceptional spell at the moment, rattled Borgas' helmet and the got him caught behind 2 balls later.

Bugger, a great fightback from the Victorian tail.

Hopefully McGain bowls well, but without taking any wickets
The redbacks have let it happen to many times this season.

bloody hell. Redbacks struggling now..klinger gone for 48. :(

Borgas would have to be the worst starter in First Class Cricket. Makes way too many ducks..

Re: McKay, I'm not certain, but I have noticed that he's done very well this year. To keep out Harewood he must be doing something right and yes definitely he's a chance in the future to progress into the Australia side.

Yeah true. although hes had a couple of good scores this season. Got a century vs WA and a 90no vs NSW. And an 188no vs nsw 2nd XI a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah Mckay bowled good agaisnt new zealand as well

4/228, the Redbacks batting this season has been a lot more solid than usual. Whereas last year we probably would have been bowled out for 220 we are now getting good partnerships together in the middle order building on the good form of Klinger. It's the bowling that has been our Achilles heel. One paceman in good nick could have made a big difference for us this year.

Was averaging 50.33 this season before today, but it is an issue that he normally makes a few scores and then goes on a run of poor form with plenty of low scores.

Ferguson 73no atm

Keep it up callum
impressive also is our current run rate of 4.03 an over, at times we have been able to occupy the crease without hurting the scorecard enough which leaves us on the back foot.

Unfortunate Cooper missed out today:@ he's playing very well in the ODD games

Yeah Ferguson and Manou are batting well together. 130 partnership. Yeah Cooper looks good but I heard he struggles with the shorter ball. I haven't seen much of Borgas..don't really know how he plays. Yeah our real weakness this year is pace bowling. I reckon George can step up though. And clearly is decent. Wise hasn't done much though.

Hauritz probs isn't doing his test chances any harm with 3/41 agains Tassy.
Stupid **** we need him playing for NSW not carrying the drinks in SA. Oh well hopefully Casson remembers how to bowl.

Simpson (Qld captain) has a pretty good argument to suggest that Borgas is NOT the worst starter in first class cricket!!

Hauritz getting wickets and McGain not troubling the wickets column isn't good news...

Meet Luke Ronchi...

Haha yeah Ronchi is up there. Simpson I won't buy because he normally makes a couple of runs and that is all he is good for.

Ronchi in OD
Borgas in 1st Class.

Simpson is supposed to make a couple of runs - but he doesn't even do that!

This season, in 12 innings, he's made 108 runs @9.00
(which sadly includes a top score of 49! only 59 other runs in 11 innings...)
It's down from his career average 20 - but not by far!!

As a bowler, he's taken 28 wickets in 33 career first class games, average 69.78.

At least Borgas has made a century and 2 50s this year!!!

Out of the Queensland players who don't play for Australia. Who is realistically a captaincy option?

I know Hopes and Watson have captained various side but they play too much for Australia. Hartley was groomed as the next captain until he had a shocking run of form and he spot was under threat. He is starting to bat better know. Is it time to give him the captaincy in FC atleast?
