I think he should be in the mix of things atleast till the 2011 World cup, i know he is not getting any younger, but jeez, he is still among one of the best batsmen in Australia in all the three forms of the game, and tbh i don't see too many young batsmen in Australia atm for whom a player of Hodge's caliber should be ignored.

Yeah, I think I read something about a period being opened up for it or something. Not entirely sure though. It'd turn NSW into a completely different team if so.

Haha you'd think so. Still slips under the radar.

I think that the full-strength sides depend on the IPL though. If I player (example: Mike Hussey) makes the Champs with his IPL side, he'll play with his IPL side unless he's also a state regular (ie. Dussey, White, Warner perhaps).

Yeah, quite a few people predicted that when he was named captain, it must be said.

Although, he probably can play a role as a spinner @ 8/9 in OD matches.

Yeah, his saving grace - he makes the team as a specialist spinner. He took 5 in a Shield game at one point this season too. His bowling is passable but his batting, particularly in one day cricket, is the biggest myth going around.
