Would have liked to have seen ****ley play,played 2nd xl this season.

Was always going to get more than Mike IMO. Will be available for the whole tournament, can bowl in addition to his batting and he's also a bigger hitter of the ball than Mike.

How many of those final bids represented the players' actual on-field value in your opinion? Can we confirm that the bidders had seen any of that innings, i can't imagine it didn't inflate his eventual price if they did.

The only reason David got more was because he was seen as being available for the whole tournament, and for no other reason. I can only assume Symonds' high price was because he said he wouldn't tour Pakistan (although he's backed down on that statement a little bit today).
