just two questions for anyone who watched the ING cup game:

1. How fast was Johnson clocked

2. How did Bird look

1. Johnson was pacey, but I wouldn't say express.

2. Bird was pedestrian at best, but that was all that was needed the way the Qlders batted.

Tasmania without Bevan, looks like the weakest batting line up in Australia, well done Andy 8-)
Yes, very much so. And Qld should have bowled them out by now. Still, look at the wickets Bichel got. Cox, Di Venuto, not exactly raw players.

Jamie Cox is well past it and the fact that his playing in this game just shows how weak their batting is, i personally rate the wicket of Birt more then Cox.

That may be so, but he's still a classy player, and with no Bevan there his wicket is probably the most valued. I like the look of Birt from what I've seen of him.

Interesting to see the change of direction of the Tasmania side under the new coach. Birt wasn't really a fixture in Pura Cup last year, Kremerskothen back in, plus Clingeleffer takes the gloves off Dawson. Mind you, I think that Tassie have a fair few injury troubles with their batsmen (and Geeves is out for a while with an ankle, I believe) so that's probably contributed a fair bit to it, but still...

Didn't Clingleffer keep for Tassie for the whole of the Pura Cup competition last season? I know Dawson kept in the ING, but didn't think he kept for a game in the Pura Cup.

Was it Clingeleffer? I wasn't under that impression, happy to be corrected though...

I was pretty sure that Dawson, at least started off, keeping in Pura Cup.

That may be where I got mixed up. I'm sure that Clineleffer finished the season as the first choice keeper, but perhaps Dawson did start the season as a keeper, though from memory he was batting pretty high up the order.

As Howardj said Clingy kept in FC, Dawson opened the batting and kept at the start of the season in ING, then Dighton finished as keeper from memory.

What's with the cricket.com.au website? Trying to get updates of the Bulls v Tigers match, yet the bloody stumps score is the only so-called update on offer. Not happy.

It's bloody frustrating. At least when Cricinfo were doing it, it wouldn't screw up.

And these guys run the bloody sport!

LIVE Pura Cup: WA 6/67 VIC
LIVE Pura Cup: QLD 2/23 TAS 268

That's all I could get off FoxSports. Seems the ball is dominating the bat so far.......good news for future Aussie bowling attack maybe?

Um from memory just off the news a minute ago

WA 149
VIC 4/81, with Inness taking 3.

Looks like we'll get a result anyway! Haha, it was nice to see Marto in that gold and black, again, I must say.

Good to see Matty Inness doing well. He's one of my favourite non-NSWmen

Who's this Mike Hussey guy everyone's talking about? How many did he score today? What about that Jimmy Maher fellow? Classic innings from Mabo. Chanceless, full of class and well paced - beautiful to watch. James Hopes wasn't too bad either, after being dropped at bat pad he made hey, with a quick fire 77. Philipson looked brilliant until he dragged on. Bichel again proves his class with 6 wickets.
