Loving the irony of a saffer complaining about green mambas.
Is there any suggestion the players asked for this pitch?...and why would they prepare a pitch for getting ready for next year Ashes? They have a tough series coming up against India. Why not play on slow turners?
The truth is these Aussie bowlers are not that skillful like SA bowlers and they need assistance from the pitch to humiliate us. If we get proper hard pitches in the next two Tests, SA will definitely win.
Yeah, your point being?I've never rated Starc as high as some. I think he is a good bowler but can be wayward still. I rate Cummins ahead of Starc.
Lyon - again good bowler but not as high as others have him. He just bowls roughly the same. In a stronger era batsman would be using their feet and hammering him.
That account is new to the forum tbf. I know some casuals who think Starc is better because bowling faster, fuller and with a left arm is just inherently ***ier.Yeah, your point being?
I rate Starc highly, and very much believe he has been underrated to absurd levels on this forum at times. But Cummins definitely is better, I don't see anyone agruing otherwise at all

You are still defending this pitch aren’t you ?TheGreatest making sunilz and Test Fan look like analytical cricket geniuses by comparison
Can't be that he averages 21 with the ball in Test cricketThey're not dropping Ngidi for the same reason that Zondo played...
Bro you repeatedly said it was doctoredNo one has said that Aus Team asked for this wicket
Do you believe this pitch was Good ? Yes or No. Forget “doctored “ word for a minute.Bro you repeatedly said it was doctored
Nobody here thinks this was a great pitch, but it was not a doctored pitch, so just don't use that vernacular to describe it.Do you believe this pitch was Good ? Yes or No. Forget “doctored “ word for a minute.
For once in a while I don't have any real issue with a pitch like this. Maybe a bit too bowler friendly but it's better than too much the other way. If you watched the game, which I know you didn't, you'd see most of the dismissals weren't unplayable deliveries because of a seamy pitch, they were good bowling/batting errors. Better batting line ups and worse bowling attacks and the game would last longerDo you believe this pitch was Good ? Yes or No. Forget “doctored “ word for a minute.
No way was this a doctored pitch , in fact I would go as far to say that this pitch actually gave South Africa more of a chance to compete... Australia have the far superior Batting line up on paper , it's not even close so a pitch that reduces the chance of high scores would favour our side South Africa, the South African game plan was clear for all to see , somehow scramble 250-300 together (On a good day) and rely on the quicks to win the game .Nobody here thinks this was a great pitch, but it was not a doctored pitch, so just don't use that vernacular to describe it.
What I find amusing was that this all started as some sort of 'got ya' when in fact it had already been brought up how poor the pitch was for good quality test cricket. Did not make an iota of difference to the suckyness of the SA batsmen.
The pitch certainly wasn't 'doctored'. It was just poorly prepared. As for 'cheating' - let he who is without sin cast the first stone. So both Burgey and Jedibrah agree that this pitch wasn’t good . I would take it as a win.
They have problem with the “doctored “ word because that would mean Australia are cheating and we all know Aussies never cheat ?
