Without discussing big changes to the SA batting lineup, the loss of Keegan Petersen to injury has probably really hurt SA batting... a quality enough batsmen to have got a few more runs on a pitch like this that could made enough of a difference.

Rickleton is in awesome form but I dont know if he would have done anything on this wicket? Keegan could have done what he did against us though.

Agreed. When put under pressure.....world class pressure...Australia's batting can crumble. There is holes in it. Smith is fantastic....the rest....under pressure...im.not so sure.

Yeah there's no way Australia would've batted like they did had they been set an actual target.

OTOH, the pitch was doing enough that a chase of even 100 would've been close.

Has this pitch really been that unplayable? It's easy to tell with subcontinental bunsens but not so much green tops. Seems to be the carry more than anything that's troubling the batsmen. Any edge will always carry.

You don't get these edges without a good amount of seam movement, and that is always going to be determined by the pitch.

It's remarkable how he always picks up wickets. There are times when he looks the worst of the quicks but at the end of a series he is always up there in terms of wickets. Good knack to have I suppose.
