If they want to go again they should be made to get ready for an extended stay overseas if anything goes **** up
Yes, for any non-international tours they should automatically go to the back of the queue. If that means them skipping the Ashes, so be it. Sportsmen are not bigger than the general public, and that should deter them from thinking so.

Also, I wish to make it clear that IMHO not touring because your missus is punching out a child is not a reasonable excuse. I realize other people don't feel the same way and that's a matter for them, but if you've got the energy to get her knocked up, you've got the energy to charge in off the long run while she's looked after by the midwife.

And tbh, if I told Burgeinho I'd missed his birth because I was racking up a double ton vs the Poms, he'd be thrilled. As he should be.
Yeah it was really quite disgusting of Kohli to go home like that.

The only reason he did that was because it was 4 Tests against Australia who he thought were beneath him.

It's a matter for him if he wants to do it. It probably shows how much cricket they play these days cf years ago, and how it's like clocking on and off at a regular gig.

To each his own. I would not have missed my child's birth for anything. Even if it meant that it will affect my job or career.

Completely unrelated to this discussion, but think The Finisher TM may be back. 68 Runs @160 and 11 wickets @17 and an econ of 6.30 so far this PSL, and also took 8 wickets in 5 games @15 and an econ of 7.5 in the few games he got last bbl.

I didn't mention Kohli until Daemon did. And when I mentioned him, it was in the context of cricket these days being more like a regular gig than it used to be because of the amount of it which gets played.

This is just the typical Indian fanboi stuff. Hypersensitive when there's literally nothing to see at all; jumping to take umbrage at shadows. Sad.

Ha ha. I am not being hypersensitive at all. I just saw something which I felt was not right and so, gave my feedback. And I am actually not a big fanboi of Kohli as well.

I wish Kohli had stayed. He'd have scored less runs and captained worse than his replacement did.

Can't wait to see Daniel Solway represent Australia and show the nsw selectors how wrong they where!!

On a more serious note, why do the selectors not seem to give a **** about the marsh cup, none of the top 14 run scorers and none of the top 5 wicket takers from the countries premier one day comp getting into an LOI touring squad is absurd.

We've got a gapping black hole for a middle order and have for years, and yet none of the young guys (Davies, Inglis, green, etc) who showed potential as middle order bats in limited overs cricket last year get into a heavily depleted squad.

All of the guys we've picked have been tried and tested in the middle order before and given abysmal return, and yet once again the selectors continue to turn to them. Hope we get thrashed over in India/UAE so the selectors can get there **** together.
