I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Despite the callings of it being a farce, anyone else enjoy the fact T20s (or T11s) mean a lot of teams are debuting younger players with an aim for the future?

well few things to note

1) Gayle and Marshall form a dynamic opening pship
2) We lack bowling options from our squad.. knew this already..

not chooseing a spinner was a big problem
Johnsons form?

Problem last night was a) we were bowling too short again b) Ponting looked like he didn't care c) Once we got off to a bad start it was virtually impossible to get back into the game.

Was looking forward to it quite a bit, so the whole thing left a bad taste.

The WI crowd was a good sign I guess as was Marshall who looked magnificent.

Let's hope Johnson can come back in the next game, he really is a good one-day bowler, but all of this might really be taking it toll.

Let's also hope White never bowls again, for the love of God.

Interesting that Ponting has now captained 11 T20's and lost 6 of them (45% win ratio)

....Clarke on the other hand has a 100% win ratio with 2 wins from 2 games...

Australia seem to lose Twenty20s away from home. Off the top of my head, they have lost to: England, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and India (twice). I think they've only won three away Twenty20s, against New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka.

They have a 100% win record at home. They have enjoyed wins against South Africa, England, New Zealand and India.

Australia bowled rubbish last night. Rubbish bowling goes the distance in Twenty20, especially in small grounds, regardless of whoever's the captain. Xavier Marshall launched an assault where it didn't matter where the fielders were placed.

After the woeful start, I was surprised that the Aussies managed to pull it back somewhat.

You'll Never Walk Alone
When you have Lee and Watson as your bowling attack, and Lee bowls badly, it's bound to go badly tbh.
