**Official** Australia in Sri Lanka

Sangakarra on absolute fire. Hit 6 4's in 2 overs, beautiful stuff. His knock reminds me of Ganguly's test 100 in Brisbane. They bowled to his strength and hoping he'd make a mistake and they got clobbered.

Unfortunately Atapattu threw his wicket away to Hogg because there was no need for that at all. Game in the balance now.

Jayawardene out. 143/3

Sangakkara 99* and Jayantha 1*

Gillespie bowling exceptionally but lacking support (8-2-20-1)

Sri Lanka 150/4 (34.2 ov) - Dilshan & Jayantha need to keep it going

Sangakarra out for 101, Kaspa gets him...

Aussies have to be favs now with the SL middle/lower order struggling to get runs so far this series...

85 needed from 16 overs

What an unsurprising collapse...

This has become customary over the years now.
Teams set themselves up in great positions to beat the australians till seemingly someone pushes the button.

Absolutely spectacular fielding/teamwork results in Dilshan's runout. Sri Lanka: This is what happens when you play with the big boys. Sangakkara was magnificent, but it takes more than one person to take down Australia. You play with the big boys and you're gonna get hurt. ;)

Argh! Wanted to correct you, but Upul Chandana gets an edge to Kaspa's bowling (he's been good today)...SL 189/7, Loku on 18*, RRR 5.87 - still think it's possible, Vaas can bat, and only Ponting's fielding stopped some runs now...

Just remember people Australia could have easily been bowled out for less than 210. Sri Lanka are now 7/189. Sri Lanka could have easily made it if it weren't for that last wicket partnership, which as it stands has the game beyond Sri Lankas reach. So too many were quick to criticize rather than applaud. A lesson? :)

Although Vaas gets out pretty quicksmart. Kasper gets another. Gilchrist takes his 6th catch. 8/189. Still, my point stands! :P

Kasper takes his 5th. The latest Aussie to do so :D 5/41

Sri Lanka 9/190.

Kasper get a 6th! Gilly get a 7th!

Long over, that. 3 wickets from it.

Anyone smell an international career resurrection?

Another lesson - without Kaspa you'd have been dead today - some excellent bowling, he's deserved his five-fer...

I seem to remember somebody calling for him to be sent out, but can't remember who. Anybody want to enlighten me? (note, not sarcastic, I want to find out whether my memory is good or not)

Wrong. How's that a lesson? A lesson is something you learn from. Read my above references to Kasper and I think you'll find I've been quite appreciative, without your help.

Ha, wonder what the crowd is feeling right now. Done like a roast for 193. They were absolutely cruising, Sri Lanka. Hahaha, now THAT'S pressure (and a series win).

Great effort from Gilly, too. Great wicket-keeping held onto some tough chances.

.
That's not a lesson to you, but to those who wanted Kasper out, ok? :) Sorry if it was poorly worded.

Wow that was disgraceful. How can any team collapse like that with Sangakkara batting so well? Atapattu should of stuck with him, but even more importantly Jayawardene. That's very disappointing but I think what's worse is, normally you think a team is gone when they're 6-8 down. I knew SL were pretty much done at 4 down, and that shows great weakness in batting. That has to be a worrying sign, especially with Atapattu and Jayasuriya not getting any younger.
