Haddin was just being himself there so not really surprised, but good early signs from Johnson so far atleast he isn't trying to drag everything towards the cow-corner.

After the Haddin review, Paul Marsh, CEO of the Australian Cricketers' Association tweeted: "Technology being used in this series for DRS is simply not good enough. Time for ICC & Boards to invest some money & get it right." The old debate reignited.

Interesting

Johnson will relish this pitch better than the other he's batted on in this series. Especially, the one in Galle. His stand and deliver style may get him some runs here, if he keeps his head.

Hussey def. should have reminded Haddin he had pretty no chance of getting off, even if he didn't hit as he thought.

As for Marsh, well he's right - as per usual - but they won't actually invest money to improve the game

The whole DRS thing with nicks was always going to be the toughest to get right, bat pads and lbw's etc are fairly easy for the 3rd umpire, but thin edges are mighty hard to adjudicate on for the 3rd ump, need hot spot all the time.

Just want to say, I absolutely LOVE seeing a perfect forward defence, no joke. Marsh and Hussey have displayed textbook forward defences in this innings, its a thing of beauty. Test cricket is awesome.

Hussey really is the immovable object at the crease. Ideally, they'd do well to pick up the other 4 within the next 50 runs or so and leave the great man hanging.

I really can't understand one thing though, there are people who can't stand an umpiring human error and yet these same people aren't convinced by technology either regardless of its restrictions.

Short pitched rubbish put away well by the master batsman. If the lower order supports him enough, he'd make it a very big Aus score indeed.
