Terrible from sl. I can understand the need for runs if they were trailing by 300 so they could avoid the follow on but there is nothing to gain from taking risks here.

Yep, from the start and how listless their pace bowler and spinners looked in their opening spells. They've looked 3rd rate in all areas.
