Not a smart choice from SL management to go in with one too many ARs and a bowler or two short in the playing 11.

Baliey should play the tests in India early next year also to get him in test form he should be recalled for the home tests vs Pakistan.

Coulter-Nile out for a while with a stress fracture. Do we have any fast bowlers below the age of 28 who aren't super injury prone?

How can that actually be the case when he hasn't been doing anything ffs?
They've improved on methods of detecting them maybe. I reckon back in the day fast bowlers all had these pre-stress fractures or whatever and kept playing. Sometimes nothing came of them and sometimes they got injuries months later but otherwise no one really noticed them. These days every little issue is under the microscope and diagnosed straight away and players rested.

most likely this is complete bull**** I'm not a physio

Well apparently he'd been experiencing pain to the point that he was having trouble bowling. Even though he's hardly done any bowling.
So it's not just a case of better detection here.

Anyone who has watched him in the last 5 years can attest to the fact that Coulter-Nile has trouble bowling.

He's been surprisingly good for someone who is always injured. Would probably easily walk into most International sides at full fitness.
