wonderful win 3-0 looks beautiful, Martyn innings was one of his best, Lee seems to love these situations. Must commend Ntini he was brilliant.

Man of the series tight race between ponting, Clark & Ntini.

Great finish, both teams played excellently but Martyn's knock was vital, and then Brett Lee at the end. Great stuff.

Ntini with 10 wickets was also fantastic, and Pollock looked a much better bowler today then I think I've seen him for a long time in test matches.

Great game, as others have said.
Is it just me, or do the South Africa have no idea how to bowl to tail-end batsmen?

Kasper and Lee see us through this time, thankfully. That's 5-0 to Australia over 6 matches, not bad at all.

Lee once again stands tall at the end of the innings.. Excellent Knock from Martyn and Hussey.. that partnership was very very useful..
Does australia really need Symonds in a test match, IMO they could do better with Clarke in there..

all in all Ntini picks up 10 wicket haul.. good performance from the debut captain, was very imperssed with his efforts..

I knew marto was on the verge of a big score, good to see him get the chance he thoroughly deserved to do it.
Also good to see Clark batting above kasper as I pleaded for.

Man of the match for Lee, and man of the series for Clark. Both pretty deserving, though Hussey might feel hard done by given he top scored in one innings and nearly made a century in the other.

Ntini was pretty unlucky not to get man of the match in a losing team, considering many people class a 10 wicket haul as a batmen's double hundred.

I haven`t been so nervous for ages. Can`t believe it was only an hour, seemed like 10. :D Martyn was magnificent, great 100. Lee was again outstanding, deserved MOTM for his bowling and batting in both innings. Clark was decent, and when Kasper came in, 20 million Australians were thinking 'Edgbaston...'. Loved it. Saffies really bowled poorly this morning though, so many shorter balls that the tail cut away. Time for Lee to come above Warne methinks. Though he probably fancies a ton against Bangladesh.

Amazing debut for Clark, he fired EVERY innings. And Lee was again superb, his figures were good as well. I`m sure Richard can still say he`s crap, but Lee has improved out of sight.

:)

He bowled many excellent wicket-taking deliveries, but many crap ones as well. As I said, Lee performed at every chance.

I'd rather they prep Watson for that position. Can definately bowl and bat. Honestly, with the type of batting Symonds has been displaying you can at least say Watson will assure you of a good 35 and a handful of wickets if nothing else.

Yeah but Watson isn't ready yet, and I reckon Watson's the man to take over from Martyn when he's done anyway. But for now, Clarke is the better bet. I don't think Australia need Symonds or Watson's bowling.

IMO Watson just needs more domestic cricket.. he is not ready for that role yet.. and Clarke is my best bet..

Till last night, i wasn't happy with Martyn's performance.. and i was wanting to see Clarke in the playing XI, but Martyn just shut me up with a match winning century(good on him) but then again clarke has to be in the team..

Australia didn`t really need a fifth bowler for much of this series, but I reckon they will in future series. Watson to be given another go, or Symonds to get his act together.
