BARNES OUT

Just heard he's being detained overnight. The guy's received a few blows to the bonce over the years, so it's not surprising.

Boyks always reckoned that a good opener needs the odd screw loose - but I can think of better ways of achieving that - a decent power screwdriver for a start.
Being an opening batsman myself, I'd personally prefer a ball to the helmet than entertaining the thought of some sort of power tool near me noggin' *twitch*

Disappointed to see Ponting failing there. Warne's striking at a pretty high rate, but hopefully he and Hussey and can hang around till the end of the day, so that Langer can get a bat tomorrow if he's given the all clear from whatever hospital he's at.
Good solid jinx, Andy.

Time for Lee to prove his allrounder status.

How's the light looking?

Just hoping Langer can get a nights rest and come into bat at the fall of the next wicket...

light seemingly is still good, but who cares the aussie's are better off in the pavillion at this stage:laugh:

The rest of the cricket world cares! This is blatant favouritism. I'm starting to wonder how many of the Aussie's wins all these years were due to bad umpiring favouring the Aussies.

Australia 246-7 at stumps with Brett Lee still at the crease and hopefully Justin Langer to come back i think that Australia could still make a decent lead of 60-100 on day 3.

Bucknor is just a joke. This isn't about the light - maybe it was fairly dark, maybe it wasn't. But at the start of the over the umpires decided to play on - and changed their minds when Lee got hit by an unplayable off cutter. Not a bouncer that he didn't pick up, a vicious off cutter. A ball that would have hit him whether it was midday or midnight.

There are many things I don't approve of.

Strangely enough, whining about umpiring decisions just happens to be one of them.
You're right. But some of us do it in the heat of the moment. Just being human, you know? But it is a futile excersize and doesn't change anything. Will go watch the Formula 1 race in stead.:)

We're all entitled to a moan every now and again - have a beer.
