***Official*** Australia in South Africa 2018

Hazlewood bowled really well yesterday but overall has been a bit disappointing; biggest issue is that his accuracy (usually a strength) has been off (a lot of easy leg side runs) so that he hasn’t built pressure and not even been particularly economical.

His consistent inability to make an impact in overseas Tests would be a growing concern now.

Unless I’m mistaken, Hazlewood has only got one wicket with the new ball this series. That’s beyond poor considering how difficult it is for numbers 1, 2 and 3 in South Africa.

Good chance of rain throughout today and tomorrow. South Africa don’t need to force anything but if they were more proactive yesterday evening they could be bowling now with cloud cover aplenty and 450+ to play with. Faf is off to India after this, the series is finished, he didn’t need to have a net last night.

A draw with plenty of time lost to bad light and rain is what SA deserve. Hopefully, that's what they will get.

To be honest SA can do what they want to here. It's more time than runs in any case. The fatigue amongst the Australians must be massive. To use Mitch Marsh's words 'cooked'

Saffers are 2-1 up in the series, while winning would obviously be nice it's not really worth risking defeat for.

If the chances of rain aren't too high, SA are doing just fine. I don't think they'll need more than 50 overs to polish off Australia. They also have to take Morne's injury into account. I'd declare when the lead gets to 500, but they can start taking a few risks now.

South Africa are the team with the minimum level of ambition, the maximum fear of a choke; even Bangladesh, if they were in a like position, would have got a move on..

Been plenty of times they could have folded in this series (and against India) but they didn’t. South Africa will be very happy with their returns in test cricket over the past few months.
