Vettori's logic sux IMO. He said at the toss that the team likes to chase. We haven't chased down a score in this series and the Aussies bowling is clearly weaker than their batting so why let them gain an advantage by performing their stronger discipline first. It puts our batsman on the back foot and even though the Aussie bowling attack is useless we leave ourselves a huge mountain to climb.
If we had have batted first, scored 280+ then Aussie might make mistakes and lose their heads chasing like they did when we beat them in th VB series a couple of years back.
