***Official*** Australia in New Zealand

I actually don't think Cairns is good enough to bowl for NZ atm. He seems to get smashed with ease. Hopefully he can keep things tighter today.

Edit - Goes for 9 in his first over.

Well Australia will know that they are going to need a decent score on this pitch. No Brett Lee and a fairly in-experienced attack..including a bowler who's making his debut & hasn't really been that great for Queensland even.

NZ should look to bat in a similar fashion to that of the game in Wellington.

Meh...that second four was an unlucky edge...but that's one day cricket. He'll probably get a wicket with his worst ball of the innings. Valid point, Blaze :p

Vettori gets Ponting plumb, then Symonds I thought was a bit arrogant and tried to blast Vettori 2nd ball and he's out too.

124/4.

Missed the last 5 or so overs though I'm also backing the Aussies to win it, it'll either be by a hair or it'll be a knockover.

It really makes a mockery of the grounds we choose to play our internationals on. As players continue to get fitter and stronger, and the bats get better and better it is no real surprise that sides are able to clobber 100+ in the final 10 overs on the smaller grounds.

Incredibly stupid bowling from the death bowlers once again. I can't believe that they learnt nothing from the game in Wellington. YOU HAVE TO PITCH THE BALL UP IN THE FINAL 8 OR SO OVERS!

I actually punched my hand into the floor I was so angry lol. Luckily it seems to just be bruised.

Chris Cairns has been playing international cricket for 15 years yet can't work out that a full toss is better than a length ball at the death. I mean come on ffs. He shouldn't be allowed back at the bowling crease this summer (maybe a little strong but he has looked awful IMO with the ball all series).

Oh btw great knock from hussey. Is he better than Bevan?

At a comparable stage in his career, KP was proclaimed a superstar by all and sundry. Hussey's record now makes his look positively shameful. :D

Fantastic batting by Hussey, an amazing innings but I can't believe how poor New Zealand's bowling has been this series, excluding Vettori. As a unit, this has to be New Zealand's weakest bowling attack in years.

Disagree. Our bowling attack is fine. The plans are terrible though and the execution is worse. One feels we are missing Fleming a fair bit.

Mills and Vettori are bowling the best they have ever bowled, Styris is doing his job well as well so 30 out of the 50 overs are pretty decent. It is the other 20 which are quite frankly a disgrace. Cairns and Oram have been woeful and are letting the other bowlers down and giving the impression that the whole bowling attack isn't bowling well with the opposition taking them to the cleaners and posting large scores.
