Mind you, is this really Australia's primo bowling line-up at the moment?
The Indians averaged over 50 a wicket at 6.3 rpo in the ODI series against their bowlers. The Aussie batsmen averaged 53 at 6.4 against Indian bowlers (who are considered mediocre by default). Puts things into perspective.

And if you consider T20s, it just gets worse.

This is what happens when you haven't had to face decent bowling in months. Phenomenal.
And yet if you actually said this when they were blasting those centuries, you would be attacked by the brigade.

Australian batting is a problem but they can still come back in the series though because NZ's bowling attack has too many part timers and dibbly dobblies. So once you can see off Boult and Henry and to an extent Milne, there isn't a lot of threat in the attack.

if ben wheeler was fit and firing then mayyybeeeee if they were feeling ballsy. mchesson style is stick with players through thick and thin though (and it has helped tbh). look at all the chances rutherford got.
