There's nothing wrong with hurricane, or anyone, really, not applauding a century if they don't feel like it. No one's obligated to do that. If you feel a century is ****e, fair enough if you don't want to be part of the ovation. ***** getting worked up like he did is nothing new either, almost seems like he wants to take up the mantle of CW hard man these days. Too much exaggerated outrage. But Hurricane can be a condescending prat at times too, which can be really annoying.

So basically, we all suck. Why can't we all be like Dawood? SaveUs.dwd

Nah look, Hurricane's general attitude on the forum for the last few months or so earned him that. Not just his posting here. Plus his tone policing and trying to tell me to stick to topics he deems I'm acceptable at set me off. If he's going to be an insufferable **** then he deserves what he gets.

But yea okay enough of that.

I don't really care about it. I don't think he does either. I did report his diatribe though.

Not out of the realms of possibility that in six months we will patch it up. Everyone knows what scraps on the Internet are like you get fired up, you duke it out and then whatever happens next is based on the personalities of the characters involved.

In some senses I don't blame him on retrospect as it is easy to catch the wrong end of the stick. The Internet is a Terrible place for communicating.

I think next time he needs to give the other person the benefit of the doubt.

Still I am sure I played a role in it as well.

What does dissapoint me though is that I made a long post and I tried my best to describe the integration of usman into the team and instead people focused on some throw away half sentence out of what was a long post.
People need to look at the holistic intent of a post.

I really think it's less to do with this particular instance and more to do with your overall posting when you disagree with people.

Hurricane, ***** didn't pop his lid because you said you wouldn't stand for a ton. It's because when you disagreed with him you tried to tell him what his place is - apparently the IPL - which is straight out of the benchmark book of sneers whether you meant it or not. That'd get me steaming too, though I suspect in my case it would be less likely to lead to ranty insults and more likely lead to three hours of statsguruing to retreat to my happy place

The ***** post was poorly judged bollocks anyway. Whatever your reasons for disagreeing, there aren't many less ego fuelled people than Hurricane. Ego doesn't even come into it tbph.

Look....when there's humans as **** as Mark Reason out there, why waste our time hunting our own?

I mean, where do you go on this article: Mark Reason: Usman Khawaja is changing the face of trans-Tasman cricket | Stuff.co.nz

The unsubstantiated accusations of racism? The half a dozen potshots at Brendon in an article not at all about him, suggesting Khawaja has achieved more at Test level, something about a Taylor tweet that I sure as **** haven't heard about (anyone?) or the completely factually incorrect line about Jeetan Patel being banished for being a coward.

I've got to resolve to not read this berk anymore. Gets me too worked up of a morning.

I shall bring London tube etiquette to this thread and with head down ignore whatever the hell is going on here.

So…after watching both this and the recent SA-Eng series I’ve realised I must visit one of these grounds where you can just plonk your ass down on a grassy knoll and sip ****tails (or beer) from plastic tumblers all day. Fabulous. I’ll pass on those pools that are probably 80% urine by the end of day 5 however.

Yeah, that was a bizarre article. I'm still unclear on where he was trying to go with it.
