I think Gangs keeps Yuvraj in the team because he needs to have someone worse than him to keep his place from being threatened.

Have they just started to play?
305 for 6 on a very hazy morning. 72 runs added by these 2. That's many many many more than Yuvraj and Ganguly combined in the last 3 inning put together (I think...) :p

McGrath just being brought on...

I think people are underestimating Hayden and Langer's ability to score runs quickly and put any deficit to bed...let's see. This is why India-Aus Tests are more exciting and gripping than any one-dayers.

In general they are more exciting than one dayers, but some ODIs have been down to the last ball, they are slightly more exciting than this.

They are getting their runs slowly and steadily. Ganguly will have to declare at this rate.

Great 50 from Kaif, I'm so proud of him :)
People were calling for his head in the ODI team, and he answered those critics with great knocks in Pakistan and England. Now he's had an opportunity in the test team and made the most of it. Great stuff :)

They really needed a good stand to increase the lead like they have done so well, to bad it has ended now with the wicket of Patel, caught behind off Warne for 54

India have gained a mental advantage over Australia now that they have got a 100 run lead in the first innings (so far). not sure how many more runs will be made though.

Damn, Patel just walked. Warney got him :(
Great knock though. Top stuff Parthiv :)
What the....?

Gilly has created a bunch of monsters who walk.

I can't fathom this lasting. Either the umpire is the FINAL arbiter or he is not. Disagreeing with him in any direction (out or not-out) is still dissent. What happens when you do have an inside edge, and let's suppose the fielding side appealed knowingly or unknowingly, and the umpire gives you out LBW ? :)
