You have to say though this pitch was just pathetic.

well done to india but the pitch was terrible,

the two matches we did win we smashed India.. I think a draw would have been flattering for India..
I must say it's good to see you all take the defeat with such good grace (!)

I also note that not one of you complained about the pitch before the 4th innings - wonder why that might be?

I agree.. christ thats what we were expecting all along so no point crying...

We bowled crap in the 3rd inns and batted badly in the 4th, we deserved to lose...

well done to india, but tests should never be played in mumbai while they prepare such disgraceful wickets.

Exactly.

If Australia had won, it would've been 'the pitch was a bit dodgy but that's just cricket'.

An Aussie picked it up too ;)

But its not like many of my fellow Indian fans weren't sore losers either. Hell they took defeat in an even worse manner. Blaming the umpires, the rain and whatever else.

I guess each country has their fair share of people who cannot handle defeat. :)

Look at the higher run scorers in this game - not one of them is one of the smash-them merchants.
but one of them is a hugely overrated, over-the-hill, flat track bully who just got lucky....

Spineless batting by Australia.

Truth be told, though, that it is anyone's game on a minefield.

And India bribed the umpires.

And the humidity didn't suit us.

And we didn't have Warnie.

And....and....and.....all right, I'm sore :p

Australia played well, India played better.... we lose. The pitch was extremely crap, but it's pointless blaming it when India played on the same pitch. The only Indian I'm really upset with is the Under 19 Academy bowled who broke Warnie's thumb :p.

In all honestyl, Australia definitely deserved to win the series, while India deserved to win the test (Australia didn't bowl well enough to warrant it in the seocnd innings, as it wasn't so much the Indian batting, while good, it was mainly the australian's bowling and Punter's reluctancy to use Clarke or Katich.).

The best point of the match for me: M Clarke 6.2 0(?) 9 6 :D

Don't beat the dead horse. If it was clearly apparent why Fraz was banned, then you pay a bit more attention.

Poor Pitch, must have been abused like 10,000 times...its not the fans but the players as well

copy/paste

From Mumabi's local news paper, if you know Marathi , then you can click on link. http://maharashtratimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/913872.cms

After Victory at Wankhede Stadium , most of the indian players were enjoying victory, Hayden came near pitch spoke loudly "**** Wicket" then he kicks the pitch.
Even Damien Martin Spit on wicket.

Those watching around were really surprised.

So, India served up a worse pitch than any of the pitches seen during the 2002 tour of NZ...interesting.

This wicket didn't have a team taking a first innings lead with a sub-100 score...

Ridiculous State bashing. It also happens with NZ rugby, particulary Auckland & Canterbury.

coincidence? or does gilly always manage to score only 1 100,followed by a string of failures in the sub continent. despite his efforts in the first test, he still ended up with an average of 35.
haha, you're right, I think he plans it that way.....

Yeah, the pitch was bad, but we knew that from the beginning........I'm not sure how the aussies approached the last innings (I only have the radio, no pics) but it seemed that there was at least the odd bad shot. After seeing Clarke take 6/9 it was fairly obvious that we'd struggle against 3 quality spinners I thought, and it proved to be the case. Well done to India for taking out the match, it was pretty entertaining when we got within 17 with 2 wickets left but i guess the end result was inevitable.

I'm just glad the series wasn't in the balance when we arrived there for the last test! :D
