Boycott said the other day that Chopra is the best short leg fielder in the world today. Then he paid him the ultimate compliment by comparing him with Solkar !! :thumbup1:
I believe it ! I watched Solkar live many times :) And Chopra has awesome reflexes.
I love Boycott's commentary - very colorful adn engaging even though it may be slightly 'senile' and impulsive at times :) :)

A relatively even first session. Australia started well but India fought back with three wickets. The pitch looks pretty good and I think we are going to have a cracking game of cricket.

Australia still have upper hand because of run rate. If they bat 90 overs at this rate, they will score over 360+ Even if they lose wickets steadily....

If they lose wickets steadily, there's no chance of 360 in one day. Absolutely none. After a while the team either consolidates while they still can, or the tail will be exposed (and they can't score at 4/5 an over for a prolonged period of time).

I was only trying to jinx..never mind :)
Based on Gillepsie's batting in the last Test I wouldn't count the 'lower' order out :)

Australia looking much more comfortable after lunch. There was more life in it before, but Agarkar in particular is looking weak now. Lehmann is looking a lot less reckless than he has been in this series so far, and now it's really just Kumble who is causing any problems.

It might be time to give Kartik a try, it's a bit odd that he hasn't been used at all in over 30 overs, greenish wicket or not.

LOL! Yeah Gillespie could be handy and all, but get us past 360 on day one? We'd be lucky if he managed a leg bye!

A Leg Bye ? You do know Parthiv is keeping for India. And if as a batsman you leave the ball so does he :p

I'll bet you that Aussies get to 300+ by the end of the day. We can find a good escrow company and you can bet in Aus $. On ? 8-)

Both current batsmen probably need hundreds to ease the pressure on their selection in the team, especially Lehmann. Current score: 180/3

I have absolutely no doubt that Australia will reach 300+ by the end of day one. I just said to you that if Australia lost wickets steadily they wouldn't, which hasn't happened as yet.

So, in short, no. :p

Is Bhajji playing? Or are Kumble and Tendulkar the only reasonable spinners in the team.

Thank God Tendulkar's dropped catch didn't cost too many runs. Lehmann finally gone, end of an amazing partnership. Boy did India need that wicket.

No he's not playing, he's unfortunately got the flu :( Pathan, Harbhajan, Ganguly and Yuvraj were all out of the side, they were the 4 main changes to the team. Sachin, Agarkar, Kartik and Chopra came in.

They sure did, I am disappointed that Lehman didn't get a century. That might have made things interesting as to whether Lehman or Clarke get dropped to make way for Ponting.

54.4 Khan to Clarke, no run, pitched touch outside the off stump and
seaming away, Clarke pushes at it and gets beaten, once again
Patel fails to collect it cleanly!

That's worrying me. Can anyone that has been consistently watching the game comment on how Patel has performed behind the stumps. Damn exams have hindered any opportunity for me to watch the game :(
