still u can't be sure that if gilsipe got out early so would everyone else, and he scored 26 runs, even if he scored 0 and got out early that still leaves 200 runs for IND to score in 2 sessions or so, I dont see that happening.

Dravid could have made a century and India's batsmen could have come back to form.

not even clarke ? and btw these are all what if's and even with those I don't see AUS folding or loosing on 4th day. In recent history AUS IND games have been decided on 5th day, this was no different even with all what ifs.

Its not that far fetched . McGrath got no movement from this pitch at Chennai. Nagpur will only be worse for him. IMO, pace is the only thing that will help a pace bowler in Nagpur .

and pace without accuracy is useless, its been said time and time again.
and i think mcgrath is more capable than brett lee on any wicket in any conditions.

I wasn't using "what if?" scenarios! I was talking about the value of Gillespie's innings in making sure Australia didn't lose that day. And that's far from a "what if?"

Solid batting track. Gabguly to win the toss and maybe continue with his Yuvraj-as-opener experiment and maybe Yuvraj will throw his bat around and maybe Aussies will not hold them if they go to hand and maybe Ganguly will be able to say, " I told you so "

Or , maybe Chopra will open (doubtful) and he will decide to offer the bat rather than the pad to incoming deliveries and maybe he will get his first test fifty and more.

Or , maybe Australia will win the toss and hammer the daylights out of the medium pacers of India

Great wicket for batsmen in form and best opportubity for those out of it
