You misunderstood mate. When I said 50:50 I did not mean the decision was close and could go either way.

I meant the mentality to think that for every two de visions you challenge one should go in your favor. Many tennis players go with a similar make up challenging line calls and they lose most challenges. Then there are those like Federer who rarely challenges unless very sure and his success rate is amazing.

India started cribbing during a series in Sri Lanka I think when someone (I think Shastri) even made the stupid comment that it was strange that Sri Lanka seemed to have so much more success when they challenged and India hardly ever !!

It is not 50:50. If you challenge just because you don't want to leave the crease or because the junior at the non-strikers end does not have the guts to say, "Sorry Sachin "sir" but I think you should go." . . . then you can have zero percent success and not the 50% you think is your birthright.

Not only is this probably the best performance by an Aussie spinner in India, is it the best performance by any visiting spinner?

Also he beat Warne's best figures. Hah.
I meant match figures, tbh.

Never in doubt.

Even if we go on to lose the series (which is still a good chance) that's such a fantastic win for us. I'm not sure any Aus supporter really though we had a chance and the collapse of the first day seemed to be the harbinger of usual weaknesses. But we had O'Keefe, they did not.

That was just the most clinical overseas performance I've seen by an Australian team - considering how high the opposition was rated.

The next pitch is surely going to be a roady road.

Did anyone see kids (and their guardian apparently) in the stands refusing to return the ball after a Mitch Marsh six yesterday? Neatly represents the entitlement mentality prevalent in the younger generation. Get ****ed, go Australia.

Having said that, this is going to be 3-1 to India.

There are plenty to think about but India should not panic and lose the plot for the rest of the series. This is the same bunch dominating the entire season. Australia on the other hand will be ecstatic by the clinical start. Overall this awesomely sets up the series.

The Indian's can call up Shield batsmen for clues on how to play SOK. They only let him average 24.

Not having this "good for Lyon" rubbish. cost SOK a 10fer and cost Warne suffering the greatest taste of all time.

After the respective 1st innings and the way the pitch was playing I'm not surprised India were skittled like that. But Oz scoring as much as they did was a surprise.

Smith's innings was a masterclass in how to play spin and not get fazed. Also, Jadeja apart didn't think India bowled well. Ashwin seemed pretty listless especially today.

Happy Lyon got some wickets at the end. No point in having Wade in the side if he's not going to give it NOOOIIIICCEEE GAAARRREEEEEYYYY
