Why does everyone seem to be under the impression that producing a road is how to beat Australia?

Australia aren't generally too bothered when it comes to batting on a road...
Slow low road with a bit of turn not the Aussie kind of road with bounce

Yep, as long as it's decent pace in it that's easily their best type of service. Usually pitches like this that are their undoing.

Have a word with your curators. I think roads would suit India more, like that final wicket against England where you just batted them out of the game. Turners actually bite you in the bum as it basically means anyone can turn it as well as Ashwin - if not better. Ashwin and Jadeja are more impressive on wickets which do not turn so dramatically.
Exactly.
No one was expecting this pitch though after a full season of decent pitches. So random. The curator though seemed to have a thing against Indian cricket because he was a good fast bowler in his day but had been denied selection despite even showcasing his talent through injuring Gavaskar once with his pace in domestic competitive..

India are going to have to learn to play spin in Indian conditions if they want to compete with Australia over there.

They don't seem to have a spinner in S.O'Keefe's class.
