Another awful shot there. Judging by the body language of both sides, the pre-match rhetoric about this match being meaningless would seem to be just that. Oh well, I guess Australia need a wake-up call more than they need a confidence-boost.

Amazing how terribly Australia are playing. Gough has bowled very well indeed, but throwing away wickets like Hayden and Symonds did and letting a county trundler get two in an over is pretty poor!

Surely England will win from here.

Yeah. Certianly, the only thing Australia haven't taken seriously is their batting order, with Ponting saying before the match he wanted to give Clarke and Hussey a bat, regardless of circumstances.

They've certainly tried though, and so far they've gone a pretty poor job.

yeah. i refuse to take any game where ponting comes in at 6th seriously
