Pietersens happened after he was given a let off when he gloved his first ball.

So he was given a life and got 20 more runs than he was entitled to, and those proved to be vital runs in the context of the game.
Yet you still maintain that it was bad luck because of the decision against Kasprowicz...

It was.

I always call it right down the middle.

Earlier someone was saying that an Aussie journo described Gillespies LBW today as unlucky, but I disagreed. I think it was out.

No, that's called inept fielding by possibly the worst catcher I've ever seen.
So how come when England benefitted from dropped catches on day 1 it was written off as them being lucky?

Had it been an Englishman you'd have been crying that it was another plumb one.
Nah, it wasn't hitting middle stump half way up, like all the one's England have got away with.

It was only borderline.

What about the ones that are pointed out?

How come you decide that they're correct?
Because they are.

Pietersens second, second life of the series, this time at Edgbaston cost Aus the match because it added 20 runs to the chase.

For a start there's the one at the start of the 10th wicket stand...
Not out. And there were quite a few more last night which certainly would have been hitting the stumps but didn't satisfy the other criteria (pitch/hit in line assuming batsman played a shot).

there were literally 10 or so LBW shouts that were close (taking off the bails on hawkeye) that aus benefitted on id say, plenty of balls that reversed that they shouldnt have lefft but they did so it hit the pads, and many umpires would have given a handful of them out.

lol at calling it down the middle, i havent laughed that much since i was a little girl thank you.
