Why wouldnt Billy have gone to the 3rd umpire for that run out at the bowlers end?
Probably because Giles didn't appeal.

It would have been given not out anyway. Well actually I don't know, this is England afterall. So let's say it SHOULD have been given not out.

I never thought Foster was that bad. He obviously turned in a shocker or 2 somewhere but, from my recollection, never sunk to the standards of Jones.
He had mare in the first test in India a couple of years ago, as did the rest of the team, but bounced back to have a good series. He also didn't appael when Steve Waugh hit the cover off a ball during England's last tour of Australia, which got him a lot of stick. Other than that though he kept really well in that match and batted well also.

No! It's sunny in Manchester now, they just did an update and there's an inspection at 5.50pm local time with a view to an hour and a bit's play from 6pmish onwards, could be worth staying up for.

He has to go. Fletcher & Vaughan were ruthless with Read in the Windies now they have to do the same again with Jones.

So what's the excuse for only having 6 overs? Cricket is not so much shooting itself in the foot, more firing a bazooka at their own kneecap.
