the way Martyn & Pup are leaving the ball is making me uncomfortable, it amazes me everytime i see a lord's test how the ball behaves when bowling at the pavillion end.

It was shortish and wide, Ponting could have cut those balls all day for 4 and never got out once.

I wouldn't have called it a 4 ball, but he did look as if he went to cut it but then changed his mind halfway through and ended up playing a bad shot.

Certainly not denying it was a poor shot, but there was nothing wrong with the ball at all. Ponting just shouldn't played it.
