All over now, but what a catch by Martyn.
Amazing catch, best I've seen for a while. Few good strikes from Pietersen before his departure though, bit unlucky he picked out one of Australia's better fielders.

I just realised... Warne got Pietersen.

First blood!
Pietersen hit 6 first, but obviously overall Warne's ahead.

Is it just me that thinks this pitch is playing better than late yesterday? Little bit too late for England who've been well and truly stuffed by losing the toss tho.

They had more than useful conditions with the grey skies and their four pace bowlers yesterday morning - I can't agree with that TBH.

Bull, the ball moved all day yesterday (mostly seam movement anyway and a little bit of new ball swing) - Australia have had the added advantage of 2 grubbers that took care of Vaughan and Flintoff. I suppose the pitch appearing to get better is probably just the ball getting older.

Pathetic from AUS at the moment.. 55 runs this morning in less than 10 overs
You tell `em Blazo.

Why the hell aren`t they just bowling length? Odd.

If the ball moved around the entire day yesterday, Australia's advantage should be down to their skill rather than their luck in winning the toss. The two balls that Vaughan and Flintoff faced could easily have occured in Australia's innings anyway - after all, the deliveries happened only ten overs after Australia were all out.

They seem to be putting more effort into bowling at the head of the tail, rather than the stumps ATM...
