Mohnish Parmar isn't really one to brag about. Very recently, he was called for chucking, even in a domestic match. Maybe his action has got sorted out (unfortunately, Neo seems more keen on showing reruns of ODIs) but we haven't seen it yet. Besides, he's not even among the top six spinners (Kumble, Harbhajan, Powar, Mishra, Karthik, Pawar) and hasn't done too much to be compared even with Chawla. That said, he can use this series to his advantage.
As for Chawla, not getting wickets on the last day was more than a bit disappointing. He's a more useful bowler, quite smart, and can also contribute more than a little without the ball- something we don't see much of in India's top bowlers bar Irfan. He started off decently, but this ending is a bit disappointing. A Test call-up may be a little distant, but a recall to ODIs shouldn't be far.
