Guys I have a question.
When there is a tournament such as this, and Asia Cup is probably the only tournament of this nature, who gets a call on the conditions?
The home team or just ICC/ACC or whatever the pitch curators want?

Whatever it takes!!!
I think it has been the curators' call in this instance, because they seem to have been worried on so many games in the same ground and hence have left a lot of grass to help keep it together for the whole tournament.

Mustafiz not playing is obviously a big blow in this crunch match. About time for Abu Hider to step in and make a good case. Would have opted for Sunny but 4 pacers formula with Shakib + Mullah seems to be working just fine. Sunny makes a decent case for inclusion but Pakistan middle order will just milk him around. Whereas Abu Hider can be used upfront swinging it. Also a good blockhole bowler at death.
Soumya's progression has been a bit frustrating. He looks to play too many aerial shots at start. Not sure if its his role to attack up front as is the case for him mainly in ODIs. Even if so, he needs to play it out a bit and attacking does not mean he has to try hitting over the top all the time. Clearly got to sit down and replan his game.

You're wrong smali. They are clearly the 2nd best team on potential. But Khurram Manzoor is quite possibly the worst player among the 4 teams (excluding UAE).
