Guess what, we've got another injury!

Silverwood is in hospital having a scan on his ankle, doesn't look good.

Will we be forced to call up a replacement for a replacement?
This is just past a joke now...

They've said it would be someone from the Academy, which quick bowlers are there?

at the time of the NZ tour to Oz the Kiwis had 11+ team / squad players out thru injury, and had not been able to bowl a 100% fit 1st choice attack since the Zimbabwe leg at the begining of the SA tour.......and still have not been able to do so!!!!!!!

I know England's injury list looks bad but I don't think it matches the Kiwi's yet - about on a par to what happened in Zim / SA. It is very similar to what happened with the Kiwis with the new / replacement players also getting injured after a couple of games.

You never know some good may come out of it & England may unearth a potential star - I mean Bond was not selected for the Oz tour, and made his debut as a result of injuries sustained on tour to O'Connor (prior to 1st Test), Nash (1st Test), Cairns & Tuffey (who was flown over as a replacement for Nash as I recall)!!!!!

:D

Looking at today, maybe that'll be Harmison - great figures amongst the carnage - how did he bowl, actually watching it?

Radio kept cutting out to "Yesterday in Parliament" and "The Morning Service" :(!:(!:(!:(!:(!

I reckon it'll be tough but God can save the English team.

Anyway, I'm probably the only person in the world who thinks this but what about young Tremlett? I think he looked pretty impressive last summer and he showed he can bat a bit at Under 19's.

Well we have lost two bowling attacks - Gough, Caddick, Hoggard, Flintoff, Giles, Jones, Silverwood, plus Crawley, Vaughan, Butcher, no Thorpe, I heard someone mention Trescothick, then there's Harmison, Tudor... so we have 8 out through injury, plus one more and maybe 5 who are playing but ideally wouldn't be seeing as they are not 100%.

And he can do that by change of whether, showers in all the three test matches would be welcommed by English team;)

Well you'd have to say that England didn't help themselves too much by picking 3 or 4 players under injury clouds before they came to Australia.

Well being a Hampshire fan I know this guy can bowl. He is a bit like McGrath but taller and gets alot of bounce and movement off the pitch. I think (and hope) he can become a really good bowler but we'll have to wait and see what he does next season first.

Did he have a relatively full season in 2002 or was he a bit part player?
Relatively full season but didn't do anywhere near as well as his 1st season in which he just played a few games.

yesterday we saw the results of what confidence can do for a team.....aggression at the crease & quick runs even if players get out!!!! The innings only last for 99 overs but a score of over 450 at a run rate of over 4 per over!!!!!

no tons and only 3 'small' half centuries, yet only 3 scores under 30 from the team - Langer, Gillespie & McGrath!!!! For once a complete team performance with the bat, although you could be disappointed that no one took the opportunity to go on with it!!!

We know that it is a very good pitch for batting when we see the number 8, 9 & 10 taking the big stick to the bowlers!!!!

sorry England but it looks like it will be all over b4 stumps on the 3rd day!!!!

:cool2:

well its all over.
it was a pity about tudor...
i then thought it was poor taste when lee bowled a bouncer two balls later... he got a good booing for it too.

If he was that bothered, he wouldn't have bounced in the first place - there wasn't any real need to bounce him was there?
