Yeah minimum 300 , ideally 350+ , but obviously break this partnership and that's it.

Its annoying for India because this is a relatively placid pitch and 400 was feasible but some very weak dismissals IMO.

I know this is not the consensus on this board but I’ve never looked upon Pant as a dependable specialist bat. He’s obviously delivered in clutch situations but you need someone who can go slow and bat time if required up the order. India only has their top four as specialists bats, two of whom seem done, with the rest being all rounders. That’s just absurd.

Imo I dont think Pant should be seen as the problem. Balance of the side was disrupted the moment Rohit came into the side.

Gill or Jurel instead of Rohit and we'd be looking at a bit more reliable batting lineup.
