Reddy clearly wants nothing to do with the short stuff. One at his helmet and he has an almighty charge at cummins next ball.

The way he played at Adelaide suggests that he doesn't really have a back foot. I absolutely would've bounced Reddy a fair bit harder than we have I think.

Really important for Siraj to stand up and do something with the new ball once Aus bat. Even if Bumrah does another new ball burst, Siraj leaking runs at the other end is just turning out to be a drain on the Indian attack.

OK session, can't complain. Still looks quite flat but I do have fears that our batting might be "due" failures (yes I know it's gamblers fallacy, shut up) so even if Bumrah isn't 100%....

-5 over rate isn't great, but India's over rates have been pretty poor too so not sure why they're avoiding WTC penalties?

Will be interesting to see how Reddy fares. Usually his annoying 40-odd's have actually meant a little bit but here it's pretty meaningless, he needs a genuinely big score to get India back in the match.

Think Australia lost a bit of momentum after the Pant wicket when Starc & Lyon bowled in tandem.

Starc's looked a bit below his best this Test; nothing terrible but the edge to his pace and swing he has is missing.

And notwithstanding he got a wicket, Lyon not quite at his best. Maybe having to bowl so little in the first 3 Tests has mentally flattened him but his accuracy isn't great, as shown by his economy rate.

Avoid the follow on and stonewall till tea should be the target. Aus will bat again and probably declare by lunch tomorrow and then we can only hope for a repeat of Sydney.

Whatever it takes!!!
That was a bad session, all said for us. We have lost probably our two best test batsmen of the pandemic era for basically nothing.

If somehow india can eke out a hundred runs, it would at least make it a little interesting. But new ball due so I fear that’ll be the end.
