Joel Wilson made some not disastrous decisions today so I went to look up his performance in recent times. Turns out he’s improved a lot - he’s made 20 decisions this year that were reviewed with only 1 overturned. From 2017-2020 he made 60 decisions with 38 overturned lmao.

Haha I feared the worst for sure when I saw that he was umpiring this game, so that's very comforting to see

Indians should cut Sharma and Kohli some slack if my example is anything to go by. I was hating on Labu and Smith for being over it and **** ***** just two tests ago. Now I'm a clown.

But a happy clown.
Rohit is very fortunate to still play test cricket let alone being captain of the team. He's beyond finished for a while now. There's way too much batting talent waiting in the wings to waste a spot on a player who's clearly incompatible with red ball cricket. No exaggeration but even Akash Deep has shown to have better technique than Rohit on this tour. He needs to go. India were in way better shape before Rohit. Would love to see him take his 'selfless attitude' up a notch and drop himself for the last test.

With Kohli, I still had a bit of hope but sledging a 19 year old, getting into an unnecessary squabble with the media, having lapses of concentration in the most critical moments of the game. These are all signs of a player who looks finished mentally. He probably still has a bit more credit in the bag to carry on for maybe another year but he's no longer a player that can be relied on.

I am hoping for England to be his last series and then maybe he can ride off into the sunset and enjoy being a Bri'ish citizen for the rest of his life.

I suspect real-life drama is causing Kohli's dip in form. Kids, a marriage, moving homes and country, combined with juggling his fame, money, sponsorship deals, various business commitments, and his IPL shenanigans...it's a lot of balls to juggle.

Whatever it takes!!!
He is clearly in no mental state to be playing at this level right now. That much is obvious from his altercations all through this series. And to think it started off so well as well. :(

Kohli has been mostly a non-factor in last 5 of the 6 BG trophy wins. He has mostly created unnecessary controversy and dragged most of the Team with him .
Why don’t you see guys like Jadeja, Pujara , Pant , Bumrah ,Ashwin and Rahane who have played pivotal roles in Winning BG trophies in last 12 years behave like a prick ?

Kohli is an attention whore guy and he should join his Bollywood wife and make movies . Indian cricket doesn’t need him .
We won BG trophy in 2017 and 2020 without him . We beat England this year 4-1 without him . We will do fine without him .

Before todays play starts - I’m already at work and will be for the whole day.

Review of yesterday’s play.

Smith got a ton - good
Bumrah didn’t get a 5’fer and is unlikely to get a 10’fer - good
Cummins got wickets - good
Kohli got out - good

Pretty good day yesterday.
