**Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

Darwin Award

Smith frustrated as he walks off... left a few more out there he did.

To me it looked like he didn't move his feet and just dabbled the bat out needlessly.

huh, why are we acting like India will score more than 200
Shut the door on the opposition. Now we have Marsh facing the new ball. Plus I think it would do Smith mental good to go on and get a really big, 140+ score, so he can prove to himself he can still do it.

with a lower average probably
I don't see why. He averages 55 in England, and that's playing away from his home conditions, against bowlers used to them and the Dukes ball. Logic dictates that if he grew up with English conditions and the Dukes ball, and played his games there against touring bowlers not used to them, he would average higher

I think that's reaching a bit tbf; he simply lost concentration after a milestone which can happen to anyone.

pretty sure the ton itself will give himself the proof that he can do it - but I get your point

Because Australia was uber flat until sometime around COVID-19, much much flatter than England I'd argue and he averaged 71 there so I believe in England even if he averages 60-65 his overall average will drop. It's one of the reasons I don't rate Smith as high as some rate him (second after Bradman).

Head has almost chopped on about four times since the new rock. Still looks to be enough there with the hard ball so India should hope to keep Aus below 370.
